Breastfeeding Medicine

As a mother of five, Dr. Fauntleroy understands both the joys and difficulties of breastfeeding and has a passion for helping families establish healthy relationships with their new babies. In addition to her board certification in General Pediatrics, Dr. Fauntleroy is Board Certified, Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine in order to better help her patient families navigate breastfeeding challenges. Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine is a more newly recognized specialty providing physician-level diagnosis and treatment of problems arising during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding medicine is not limited to treating just mom or just baby but rather treats both mom and baby as a breastfeeding pair.

Dr. Fauntleroy offers prenatal breastfeeding consultations for mothers who have had difficulty with breastfeeding in the past or who have maternal or infant medical complications that may affect breastfeeding. If you are concerned about past breastfeeding problems or are struggling with current breastfeeding issues, contact Curo Pediatrics to schedule a consultation.
